What it's for
Sunscreen is the case people underestimate. The middle of the back is the single most commonly missed area, and it is not a place you can check. The same applies to any prescribed or over-the-counter treatment for back acne, where missing patches means treating unevenly.
But it is made for every lotion and cream you use: everyday moisturizer, body butter, after-sun aloe, self-tanner. And the long handle is just as useful at the other end. If bending down to your feet and ankles is a struggle, it puts foot cream and lotion where they need to go without the stretch.
The pads
Pads are replaceable, which is the whole reason the four-pad set exists — the handle and hook last, the pad is the part that wears. Rinse the pad after use and hang the applicator on the hook to dry.
